My Love

I haven't posted much about my baby yet, but I figured I'd take this quiet, uneventful Sunday to do just that. His name is Andrew, and he's probably the most frustrating, silly, handsome man I have ever met in my life- or just in the entire world. We did meet online about a year and a half ago, while I was dating someone else. We would just talk every now and then, and I just developed feelings for him. He's super shy when it comes to new people, so of course, when he did too, neither of us said anything.

He told me after I dated someone else, he didn't want anyone else to have me and that he didn't want to lose me like that again. So basically he had to have me. He flew up in December for Christmas and New Years. I flew down for two weeks in February. Valentines day weekend we went to Disneyland, because I had been harping him about it since he had a seasons pass. After our first, almost 12 hour, day, we went back to the parking lot and got into the car, where he proposed to me and basically TOLD me to marry him, didn't even ask until after I cried and was screaming yes over and over.

I don't have a better picture of it yet (I know, I know, I need to get on that), but it's absolutely gorgeous and everything I've ever wanted.

He actually flew up to visit me one more time, the week after his spring break, and then we decided I would move down after he finished his past semester of college. And here we are, finally living together, about to move into a tiny studio apartment until he joins the Navy.

He looks pretty silly in this picture, but this is our most recent trip to Disneyland. We stayed at the Grand Californian and decided to wear these stick on mustaches (at night of course, too hot during the day) just to be silly! He's the best.

I just love him so much, I've never been happier in my life.

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Down to the Wire

So we're getting down to the wire. We HAVE to find a place to live soon. We definitely need to move ASAP. So I've been making a list of common things that we actually need to get, things I wasn't thinking about that every house has. And wow, there are so many things that we need, because we literally have... nothing. We have a TV, not even a bed yet! This is going to be so stressful in the next few weeks.

So today, I have for you my favorite flower displays. (:

I just love the fruit feel! I can't wait to get creative for parties.

I hope everyone has a great weekend (:

Low-Layers

Tonight I'm just all over the place. I'm really green with envy- Andrew got an iPhone yesterday, and I'll admit.. I'm super jealous. I've wanted an iPhone since they came out, and I've had Verizon and since they just recently came out with the iPhone for Verizon, I wasn't eligible, and then I got off my parents plan and went onto AT&T and now I'm back on with Verizon and it's just.. I haven't had the chance to get one yet, but I really.. really want one. I'll get one at some point within the next year (hopefully!?). It's alriht though, he loves it and that's all that matters.

But, I did get a really nice blanket ($13 steal!) to replace my other blanket that my grandmother gave me that is just so worn from battering-love. And tomorrow (well later today) hopefully, I'm going to get new glasses?! Fingers crossed, because that might make me feel just a little bit better.

I wanted to do a post tonight about beds that are really low- or even on the floor. I know, another bedroom post, but really, that's all I'm going to have to work with when we move and we're just so close to that date! We've been looking into studios, and we've kind of decided we want to keep the bed low, and not have to buy a full bed frame because we'll be moving (most likely within a year or so again) and we don't want to have to go through the trouble of a ton of furniture. I just would like to keep it minimal- bed, table, chairs, comfy chair and then our TV.

Wistful Wednesday

I've just been finding so many great things online greatly, and I figured, why not make a post about all the things I want? I'll eventually get around to (hopefully) purchasing most of these. I really just want to stumble upon these things, not necessarily force myself to find them. The find will be much more gratifying, and exciting!

Obviously I need an iPhone first though...

That's all for now! Project Runway marathon and who knows what else tonight. Had a very.. long day.

Mint Infatuated!

What a long end of the weekend! We ended up heading to Ventura on Sunday to stay the night and apartment look both days. I'll just say that 90% of the apartments we looked at were... definitely not worth their price and their ads were very misleading, but I thought that before we even looked. We did find a really, really, really great apartment. Small complex that had two units for rent- the first one was dark, with ugly blue carpet, no fridge, and a lot of mess that needed to be taken care of. The second one was.. amazing. It had a nook where the dining table would go, a great oven and fridge. New fixtures in the bathroom. Our favorite part? The mint green tile.

Because of that tile, I'm obsessing over mint everything right now!

And last but not least, refreshing mint limenade!

I hope everyone had a great sunday! (:

la Cuisine

I spend so much time in the kitchen, it's only normal that I've thought of my dream kitchen over and over again. I've compiled some dreamy components along with amazing kitchens!

On that note, crossing my fingers for a KitchenAid! All of the women in my family have one, and my grandma has hinted at gifting us one, so hopefully! Imagine all the wonderful goodies I can make with one, especially since we don't have a mixer yet!

Late night Polyvore

I should probably be sleeping but we've had a bad habit of staying up pretty late these days. When the blogs are dead, and I've got Rocco's Dinner Party on OnDemand, Polyvore is just.. fun. I always take forever to put together outfits on there. It's just a fun little way to look at cute clothes that I might never have, or find inspirations for new outfits while shopping. (:

Maps, maps, maps!

Andrew and I cannot wait until we purchase a map to hang up in our apartment. Since it is going to be our first apartment, I'm definitely looking for a lot of styling and decor advice. I really like the simple, almost Southern look. But there are just some touches online that I've seen that I really love, especially a big hanging map. Looking around, there are so many different ones out there! I love when people get crafty with them and put their own personal touch on them!

Plus there are so many other cute accessories that I'm just smitten with!

Which reminds me, I really need to get another sewing machine!

Scotch & Soda

Late night video that I've fallen in love with! Check out Scotch & Soda's other great videos on their vimeo.

Inspire Me Thursday

I feel as if I've been in a craft-slump. I've been chalk full of inspiration, especially recently. Things are making me want to dream, create and explore! I'm working on a 11 before 12 list (11 things before 2012), as well as sketching out a few different tattoos that I'd like to get in the near future.

I absolutely adore exposed brick in a home.

In my 11 before 12 (I'll post it when I've finished the list!) it may have a beach picnic listed, and I love seeing pictures of cute setups! This particular picture is, in fact, from a wedding, but I sure can dream!

I absolutely love DIY crafts that can save me money in the long haul- especially this recipe that makes great laundry soap that costs roughly around $10, and will be able to do 400 loads of laundry!

Obviously this outfit isn't for summer in California, but I kind of miss the layering I could get away with in Seattle, almost all year round!

She not only makes adorable things but also puts up instructions for a DIY! Going to be making this very soon!

What are you inspired by?

And yesterday I had a few comments! I was super excited! Thanks to anyone who actually reads my blog! (: Have a great day.

Bedroom Obsession

So in a little over a month I'll be moving, yet again. I just moved in the end of May, from Seattle, to southern California to live with my fiance. Over the summer we've been living in Temecula, but school time is right around the corner, meaning, yet again, I'll be moving. We've been looking at apartments, studios, houses- anything we can think of.

I've been looking at different styling tips for studios (just in case that's what we get stuck with), and bedrooms and I've found that I'm completely enamored with the simplistic feel. I really don't want to have everything really packed tight into one (or two) rooms, so I've been trying to find great storage tips as well.

So many great rooms and ideas stewing!
